Over the past few months, the Compliance and Information Technology teams at Opus have been working hard to achieve additional information security certifications. As a result, we are pleased to announce that Opus have been successfully awarded both the ISO27001 (Information Security Management) certification and the Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Stephen Brown, Service Delivery Director said, “We set ourselves a challenge to achieve both the ISO27001 certification and Cyber Essentials Plus certification at the same time to further strengthen Opus’s approach to cybersecurity and data protection. During this process, Opus were able to identify and action companywide improvements, including further educating our staff in information security best practice as well as improving our internal security policies. Our decision to achieve both standards demonstrate our commitment to the security of both our own and our client’s’ data.
We wanted to assure our customers that by choosing to work with Opus, they were working with a trusted technology partner who adheres to industry-leading, best practice security controls and one that takes their information security and compliance very seriously.
Achieving these standards is a real milestone for Opus and a testament to all the hard work that has been delivered in these past few months and we look forward to achieving our fourth ISO certification in the near future.”
