Microsoft Licensing Price Decrease in 2025
In recent months, there have been several announcements from Microsoft regarding changes in license costs. For many businesses, Microsoft licensing is coming up for renewal in April. There is no time like the present to start planning your renewal now, these changes have been put in place by Microsoft to ensure consistent pricing across different geographies and currencies.

2025 Microsoft Licensing Changes
Microsoft will be implementing a 4-6% price decrease for licenses purchased in GBP. This decrease will take effect upon renewal of your licenses. 2. April 2025 Price Increase There will be a 5% price increase for annual commitments paid monthly. Additionally, there will be significant price increases for Teams Phone and some of the Microsoft Dynamics license types.
Other Microsoft licensing changes
- 15% promotion on Microsoft 365 Copilot until the 31st December 2025 – subscribe now to lock in the price
- 15% promotion on Microsoft 365 E5 from 1st January 2025
Price increase on 1st April for Power BI and Teams Phone - 5% price increase for CSP customers, purchasing an annual commitment, with monthly billing from 1st April
- Monthly billing option now available for Microsoft 365 Copilot
Where does your renewal fall?
To help you navigate these changes, we have categorised Microsoft licensing customers into three groups based on their renewal periods:
1. Renewals before February 2025
Customers in this group will not be affected by the February price decrease or the April price increase. Your current pricing will remain unchanged until your next renewal.
2. Renewals between February and April 2025
This group will benefit from the 4-6% price decrease without being affected by the April price increase. This is an brilliant opportunity to secure lower pricing for your licenses. Get in touch now to understand your options, even if your licensing is with another MSP currently.
3:Renewals after April 2025
Customers renewing after April will experience both the 4-6% price decrease and the 5% price increase. We recommend reviewing your licensing needs and considering early renewal options to maximise savings.
