BUSINESS MOBILE SOLUTIONS
Maximise your mobile coverage anywhere and at all times across networks with our multi-network SIM cards
If you’re concerned about mobile bandwidth, network coverage or frequent outages affecting your business, then Opus has a solution. Our multi-network SIM cards, also known as a multi SIM card or anywhere SIM, is a type of SIM that enables a device to connect to multiple mobile networks rather than being restricted to just one network. This feature enables users to access mobile services across different networks, increasing coverage and reliability, especially in areas where one network may have better signal strength or coverage than others. It provides flexibility and redundancy, ensuring that users can stay connected even when they are in areas with poor network coverage from their primary network provider.
The way we work has changed, and we need to be able to stay connected all the time. But the issue is that no mobile network can guarantee perfect coverage and service.
Multi-network sim cards can access many or all of the networks available in a given area and unlike common single network SIM cards, they are not restricted to one network.
Multi-network sim cards are designed for remote workforces and for applications where it’s vital to have an internet connection available 24/7 such as a CRM or service related application, they are also well suited to busy locations or to provide coverage in common black spots.
Multi-network phone contracts provide an alternative solution for businesses experiencing coverage issues with their current phone contract provider. Ensuring that no matter the location of your workforce, has a reliable network coverage.
With a multi-network mobile contract, businesses can enjoy greater flexibility and management control, including the ability to select a lead network, add or remove connections, and manage billing and administration through a single portal. This approach eliminates coverage issues, resulting in less time spent on administrative tasks and more time dedicated to enhancing productivity and customer service.
With 4G across all major UK networks in a single SIM and seamless roaming between them, our Multi-Network sims are perfect for keeping mission-critical business applications online no matter the local coverage, bandwidth capacity, or risk of outages.
Enjoy the best connect in your location without suffering any dips in connectivity
Our Multi-Network service goes beyond the UK, covering the EU, US, and other countries across the globe.
From design, to deployment and follow-up support, we will support you throughout your mobile journey.
We can provide a static IP for hosted products or data aggregation for multi-sim solutions.

Whenever your sim switches network two times or twenty, you’ll receive just one bill.
Multi-network sim cards work by automatically compiling a list of available networks, then connecting to the one with the strongest signal (or, in the case of steered sims, the preferred network).
When switching, the device has to re-register on another network, so there may be a brief 30-60 second delay in re-connecting, but the user doesn’t need to do anything like switch the device off and on or reconfigure its settings to change the network.
Exactly how many networks are available to you depends on the country’s networks. In the UK, for example, coverage is available on all the major business phone networks (O2, Vodafone, EE, and Three), all on 4G, anywhere you take the multi-network SIM.
While a steered multi-network sim can connect to any network, it will have a preferred network that it connects to over any others when that network is available.
Un-steered multi-network sims work by finding the strongest network, any time and every time. Unlike their steered counterparts, they don’t have a preferred network.
The devices they power will search for the strongest signal with the highest capacity, giving employees the best connectivity possible — no matter where they’re working from.
Yes, you can set the sim to prefer a specific network (but this should be for troubleshooting only, as locking the sim to a single network removes its multi-network capability).
The countries, networks, and features available to you when roaming internationally should be agreed in advance with your business mobile provider/account manager.
While portals will vary from provider to provider, it should provide you with a comprehensive view and detailed reports of each sim’s activity, so you won’t have any ‘bill shock’ moments to worry about.
Multi-network sims can be used for everything ranging from small kilobyte requirements to massive terabyte solutions. Discuss your data requirements with your provider.
If you use all your data, you can usually opt for a top-up option. Alternatively, consider switching to a self-adjusting tariff model to prevent you from going over your data allowance in the first place. If you have multiple sims, it will also be possible to pool your data. (For help finding the best option for your business, get in touch.)

Our customer JC Decaux chose a multi-network sim card solution when deploying its new digital phone kiosks. Each kiosk was equipped with defibrillators that can be used by the public to potentially save lives, but they relied on a secure, reliable internet connection at all times to operate effectively.
To achieve this, JC Decaux invested in multi-network sim solutions that meant wherever a defibrillator was, it would be connected to the internet, with no risk of a network outage.
As you can imagine, multi-network SIMS are particularly beneficial for rural-based businesses constantly battling with poor, single-network coverage. But the use cases for multi-network SIM cards actually extend much further than this.
One – Anybody requiring critical mobile connectivity will benefit hugely from the resilience and digital access that a multi-network SIM card provides. For these businesses, poor connectivity or a complete outage are simply not an option. Multi-network SIMs will go a long way towards securing their operations.
Two – In a similar vein, businesses leveraging the IOT (Internet of Things) will see tangible improvements from the use of SIMs that connect to any available network.
Three – As more companies embrace digital operations, there’s a growing requirement for certain meetings/interactions to be recorded and saved. Whether an external compliance issue or internal policy, connectivity is key for capturing recordings.
Four– Smart meters are also increasingly common throughout the UK for tracking, reading, and managing the provision of key utilities services. Utilities companies need reliable connections to maintain accurate readings and deliver a seamless service.
Five – More generally, any companies using M2M (machine-to-machine) technology like sensors to gather, store, and share data will benefit from network-agnostic SIMs
